Sons of the American Legion
The Sons of The American Legion (SAL): Founded in 1932, the SAL honor the service and sacrifice of veterans. There are more than 378,000 members in worldwide. Members include males whose parents or grandparents served in the U.S. military and are eligible for membership in The American Legion.
Membership Eligibility Requirements
All male descendants, adopted sons and stepsons of members of The American Legion, and such male descendants of veterans who died in Service during World I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, the Persian Gulf War and the War on Terrorism, during the delimiting periods set forth in Article IV, Section 1, of the National Constitution of The American Legion, or who died subsequent to their honorable discharge from such service, shall be eligible for Membership in the Sons of The American Legion.

To join, please download and complete a PDF version of the application and either mail it with a check payable to American Legion Post 251 at 2760 Duluth Highway 120, Duluth, GA 30096, or bring your completed application to the Post, where we accept cash, credit card, or check.
$40 Annual Dues
Dues are assessed annually. A portion supports Post 251 local programs; the remainder funds the Georgia Department and National Legion operations. Contact us for current rates.
